A 6 year old single malt Irish whiskey, release as part of the Hyde range. Their No.4 President's Cask expression has enjoyed a finishing period in casks that previously were home to some tasty rum, and have imparted notes of zesty tropical fruit and exotic spices to the whiskey.
Passion fruit, stewed plums, a kick of five-spice.
Malty at first, with plenty of creamy vanilla too. Soon enough, a layer of dried pineapple and mango notes develop.
Spicy coriander, figs and buttered bread.

Might be my new favorite Irish whiskey and my first time trying any hyde kind. So smooth for the proof! It does have a darker dried fruit note like figs and vanilla soon after. It is unpeated but I do get a whisper of smoke as well. That rum cask really hits the spot to round everything off.
