Hyde 10 Year Old No. 1 President's Cask is limited edition single malt Irish whiskey, released by Hibernia Distillers. This expression takes its name from Douglas Hyde, who served as the first President of Ireland from 1938 to 1945. The whiskey comes from one Irish distillery (as we said, it's a single malt) and which was initially matured in bourbon barrels before enjoying a finishing period in first fill Oloroso Sherry casks. It's bottled at 46% ABV without chill filtration.

ABSOLUTELY UNEQUIVOCABLY FANTASTIC! Soooo Smooth. It was like silk on my palate. I bought this without trying it on the word of a large liquor stores' word and OMG I was NOT disappointed. I now need to find this in Germany!!!
I found Hyde to be surprisingly harsh and unrefined (as another reviewer put it). Very disappointed
This is some darn fine whiskey to get your hands on, while it's still available. It's smooth, has some depth to the flavors it offers, and quite the charming finish. The sherry and rum spiciness/sweetness work very well together. Treat yourself to this fine fine whiskey!

I was very surprised by this whiskey. Complex but quite smooth, with flavours hard to find in Whiskey, like hazelnut and dried fruit.
