“I like a blended Scotch with a sharp acrid element. Like a good Assam leaf tea, I like a blended Scotch to have some bite, not be soft and without character. Same with a good pint of bitter, it has to be actually bitter. I'll take this, or W&MK. I do need to find Teachers Highland Cream again, where did it go? Not in my supermarkets these days...”

Description
As you might expect from the name, Grant's Triple Wood features whisky drawn from three types of cask - specifically refill American oak casks, first-fill ex-bourbon casks and virgin American oak casks. An approachable blended Scotch whisky from the world-famous brand, taking the place of the Family Reserve as its flagship expression.

Nose
Toffee, buttered bread, a little cassia and walnut.
Palate
Honey, foam banana, a touch of lemongrass and oak.
Finish
Layers of barley, caramel and toasted marshmallow.
