Glenturret Breabach 15yo Bottling Note

To celebrate Scottish folk band Breabach's 15th anniversary, the band teamed up with Glenturret to release a whisky – the single malt was rather appropriately bottled at 15 years of age and dubbed Breabach! It was drawn from just four casks, a combination of American and European oak, and only 1,000 bottles were released. We know what we'll be listening to while we enjoy this sweet, spicy dram...

Glenturret Breabach 15 Year Old Reviews

Warm, spicy, mellow, enduring and a cuddle within.

Having recently been to the Glen Turret Distillery and had a guided tour (Highly Recommended), I was lucky enough to have been given 3 of their whiskies to take away in sample pots (due to Covid tastings cannot be carried out on the premises). The tasters were the Sherry Cask Edition (very Nice), the 15 yr old unpeated (very, very nice) and then the Braebach (wow! this whisky is the perfect choice for me with warm spicy, yet a mellow and enduring taste). Having tasted the 3 I have no hesitation in buying the Braebach and will enjoy a dram or 2 during lockdown and over Christmas. The perfect choice in front of a log fire. The Band are also very good to listen to whilst sipping and thinking of 'Outlander'. Get really in the mood.
