This tremendous 10 year old single malt from The Glenturret combines a delicate balance of the distillery's peated and unpeated spirit. Matured in first and second fill European and American oak, it's robust and complex, and bottled up accordingly at a bold 50% ABV. Released as part of The Glenturret's 2021 collection.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Coastal bonfire, salty embers, flamed orange zest.
Palate
Rich, warming peat smoke and soft, aromatic spices with wafts of cinnamon and anise balanced by sweet salinity.
Finish
Ash and charred wood bring more smoky spice, following a touch of zesty citrus, and salted caramel.
