Ruadh Maor 8 Year Old 2012 - Strictly Limited (Càrn Mòr)
Ruadh Maor is the name given to the peated expressions distilled at Glenturret – and Càrn Mòr has bottled up this fantastic expression as part of its Strictly Limited range. Distilled in 2012, the whisky spent its time maturing in a refill sherry hogshead. In 2021, after eight years, this was bottled with a total outturn of 2,243 bottles.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Oily smoke, earthy notes with cured meat, salted fried potatoes, and honeyed parsnips.
Palate
Sweet, barbecued, honey roasted ham with vegetal peat smoke.
Finish
Smoked paprika, waxed lemons, charred oak, and earthen peat.
