Long-aged single malt from the Glenturret distillery, independently bottled by Malts of Scotland. This was distilled all the way back in 1977 and aged in a bourbon hogshead until 2017, with it was bottled with an outturn of just 122 bottles. The label features an illustration of a diamond, which lets you know what Malts of Scotland think of this whisky...
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Toasted teacakes and red berry jam, with some Nutella thrown into the mix.
Palate
Earthy chocolate bitterness, with rounded notes of coffee and treacle.
Finish
Forest floor and oak-y spice.
