Long-aged single malt from the Glenturret distillery, independently bottled by Malts of Scotland. This was distilled all the way back in 1977 and aged in a bourbon hogshead until 2017, with it was bottled with an outturn of just 122 bottles. The label features an illustration of a diamond, which lets you know what Malts of Scotland think of this whisky...
Nose: Toasted teacakes and red berry jam, with some Nutella thrown into the mix.
Palate: Earthy chocolate bitterness, with rounded notes of coffee and treacle.
Finish: Forest floor and oak-y spice.
