An indie bottling of some incredibly well-aged Glentauchers single malt. This was distilled in 1976 and bottled by WM Cadenhead in 2016 after 39 years of maturation! A Small Batch bottling of only 180 bottles.
Peach and plum, raisins and a good helping of rich malt.
Apples, pears, maybe a splash of pineapple juice. Developing hints of anise and clove.
Lingering notes of dusty oak and juicy apples.
Simply one of the best Whiskeys I've ever tasted. I didn't expect it to be as good as some of my cheaper favorites because I've been dissapointed by old expensive whiskeys before that hasn't aged all that well in my opinion. But this is worth it. Might be a tad expensive but every drop is worth it.
