From the outstanding Glentauchers distillery, this single malt Scotch whisky was bottled by Claxton's after 20 years of maturation in a single bourbon barrel. Distilled in December 1996, this release of 154 cask strength bottles is non-chill filtered and of natural colour, and ranks at a hefty 51.9% ABV.
Buttery shortbread, creamy vanilla, prickles of clove and a slight floral note.
Rich and full, a touch of citrus lemon breathes through crisp cereal and spicy oak.
Medium length, with a slight grassiness and suggestion of white chocolate.
