We can't actually ship The Glenrothes Bourbon Cask Reserve to the United States at the moment (although we're working hard to fix that).

Glenrothes Bourbon Cask Reserve Reviews

good for the price, but don't think i'll buy it again.

I bought a SMWSA bottle that based on interwebs data was sourced from Glenrothes. Absolutely mind blowing, so I decided to hunt around for Glenrothes bottles to try. I picked up the bourbon cask reserve and tried it. Although I can't find information on whose bourbon casks they used - I must admit it tastes remarkably like 1792 small batch bourbon. I find it a little thin on the mouth feel factor, but expected I guess. I am not as well versed in scotches like I am with bourbon, but it's a decent pour for the money. I definitely pick up all the flavors that are noted above.

Don't sleep on this one.

For 42 bucks (USD) This is a steal. An absolute deal. So delicious, and while it definitely tastes sharp and young it has just enough of everything else to round it out as 1 of the best whiskeys in the 40 dollar range.
Tastes a lot like White Chocolate chalkiness (Like Bruichladdich the classic laddie) and a slightly cheaper Aberlour 12

A good dram for the price.

To me the nose is floral and charred oak, not surprising for a bourbon barrel whisky. The palate is vanilla, coconut, and a touch of toffee. The finish is medium with vanilla and oak. The colour is light amber. I was pleasantly surprised by this whisky because I've paid more for a lot less.

A really lovely dram

I didn’t know what to expect since I’m a big sherry cask guy, but this one has really grown on me and it’s now a favorite. It has a lot more going on than u might think. Definitely worth picking up

Well worth a taste

I’ve never had a very good nose so I’ll refrain from judgement in this department but the palate is spot on. The vanilla erupts in the mouth instantly and stays there throughout. The honey comes slightly after with the cinnamon. A really lovely dram. A long finish. Smashing for the money

Smooth tasty everyday scotch that's worth a dram. For $40 it doesn't break the bank and has a good, smooth warm flavor.

For $40 you get a tasty, smooth, scotch that doesn't break the bank.

Very boring

I paid a lot more than the MOM price for one of these in Seattle, and for that price, not worth it. I mean it's not *harsh*, so it's got that going for it. (Though it's not particularly *smooth* either). But as far as tasting notes, I get *nothing*. Nose, palate, and finish. There's just nothing there. Okay MOM notes on finish are charred bourbon oak (sure, no surprise there) and orange oil. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt on the orange oil. But I seriously don't get anything on the nose/palate notes. Just a boring alcoholic drink, too expensive to be a mixer, but that's all it really is.
