Glenrothes 20 Year Old (That Boutique-y Whisky Company)
Tasty Speyside single malt from the Glenrothes distillery, matured for two decades before being bottled by That Boutique-y Whisky Company. The label features the ghostly apparition of Biawa 'Byeway' Makalaga, chilling out in the graveyard next door to the distillery, enjoying a dram of its whisky.
Batch 9 is a release of 403 bottles.
‘That Boutique-y Whisky Company’ bottles single malts, single grains and bourbons from a variety of renowned distilleries as well as producing award-winning blended malts and blends. These whiskies are adorned with cultish graphic novel-style labels.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Cooked fruit (apple and blackberry pie comes to mind), with Christmassy spices underneath. A good core of robust malt.
Palate
Nutty barley and brown bread, followed by redcurrants, flamed orange peel, toffee and a hint of tobacco.
Finish
Brandy snaps, cinnamon sticks and honey.
