The Glenrothes 2010 (bottled 2022) - Wilson & Morgan
Distilled at Glenrothes in 2010, this Speyside single malt Scotch enjoyed a 3-year finish in first fill oloroso sherry casks. It was independently bottled by Wilson & Morgan for its Classic Selection series. At 57.5% ABV, a drop or two of water reveals the fruity core of this delightfully nutty whisky.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Shortbread, toasted almonds, waxy orange peel, and a touch of fruitcake.
Palate
Ginger and cinnamon, dried apricots, walnuts, warm oak, syrupy flapjacks, with some tannins throughout.
Finish
Peppery spices build, along with aromatic oak character.
