Glenlossie NC2 13 Year Old 1998
A 13-year-old Glenlossie from Duncan Taylor. Matured in sherry casks, this is a lively, fairly young whisky.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
This one is all about fresh barley, malt, ripe apples and green vegetables. Mashed potatoes, faint hints of white truffles, vanilla-flavoured yoghurt, bread crumb. Also some ginger tonic. Playful and lively, with a pretty oakiness starting to shine through after a while.
Palate
The green, fruity tastes continue along with quite big tannins, as well as the spices and white pepper.
Finish
A long finish over which baked fruit slowly takes precedence over the fresher notes on the palate.
Overall
An entertaining whisky with an interesting development for what is a relatively young dram.
