Bought a bottle of this at the distillery. Absolutely superb, balanced blend of oak, peat and fruit.
Blimey....this is yummy!
Nice Campbeltown flavour, then you get the mild, peaty kick. Excellent value. Almost as good as Springbank 10. I've been telling all of my whisky drinking friends about Kilkerran. I'm glad I took a punt on it.
For a whisky of this age, and at this price, it really delivers. Light peat smoke with a salty caramel edge and that oily mouth feel, absolutely delicious!! This is, in my opinion, still an underrated whisky. I'm sure its reputation will grow over time, but the fact that you already have to hunt around for a bottle is very telling. Really good quality whisky, definitely a worth while purchase. I'm excited about what the future will bring from the Glengyle distillery, they clearly know what they're doing when it comes to quality whisky.
Acquired 12 to keep my 8yr company. Didn’t disappoint- the finish is as advertised. Tough to find here, second bottle on its way
