Glengoyne
Scotland
Single Malt

Introduced in early 2014, this is a 25 year old single malt from the Glengoyne distillery - an addition to their core range. The Highlands distillery uses unpeated malt for this whisky, which is then matured for a quarter of a century in Sherry casks.
Big notes of sherry-soaked fruit up front - raisins, figs and oranges. This is followed by wafts of toasted almonds and classic notes of old leather.
Vanilla and dark chocolate open up the palate. Sherry comes through yet again, but this time in the shape of rich, well spiced fruit cake. Hints of orange and oak round it off.
The finish lasts with notes of red fruits and cracked black pepper.
A very easy dram to get lost in, to take your time with on every step.

Toured the distillery, and had a taste across the line, the 21 and 25 were amazing, brought some 18 year home, wish I had grabbed a 25 yr too
This is the benchmark, I haven't found any whisky that compared.
I was liking the Macallan 25 until I tried my hands on this. Absolute stunner. My current favorite.
One of the best I´ve ever had! Smooth, fruity, sirup - fantastic.
I will sum this whiskey up simply, "buy buy buy ! ! ! "If you can get it around £240 then snap up as many as you can afford because this will rocket in price. In my opinion as good as dalmore 25 year old and not far off Macallan 25 Year old and we all know how expensive they are !!
