Glenglassaugh 6 Year Old 2011 - Bramble Whisky Company
Here we have the very first bottling from Bramble Whisky Company, and it's a peated, sherried Glenglassaugh! Distilled in December 2011, the smoky Highlander spent its years in a first fill sherry cask until it was bottled at six years old in June 2018. Just 376 bottles were released at a healthy 53.5% ABV, with lots of savoury, smoky notes among hints of fruit.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Barbecue smoke and damp earth, with cooked red fruit and burnt toast.
Palate
Smouldering wood leads into oily citrus, with chewy malt and a touch of brine.
Finish
A sweeter finish of snubbed candle, icing sugar and toffee.
