Reviews for Glenfiddich Experimental Series - IPA Cask Finish
Surprisingly excellent
The wife and have wanted to try this for a while, but only felt brave yesterday.
It’s an excellent dram, quite unique, so I’m sorry we waited.
It’s sweet, fairly strong and very enjoyable.
From now on it’ll always be amongst our other favourites.

Very good!
It was really nice, the MoM description does it quite well but I would like to add vanilla, honey and wet grass to the nose and some spicyness and alot of apple and pear to the palate.
The finish is mid/long

Smooth but no character
I'm a big fan of IPA and Glenfiddich so was expecting big things. I didn't get any hoppy notes at all which was a huge disappointment. Can't relate at all to the other comments describing "a hoppy citrus finish". As for the whisky - it's smooth enough but pretty one-dimensional with no character. Won't buy again (and unusually, am taking a long time to finish this bottle).

Bloody awful.
Uninspiring, sweetish, smooth, light yet unpleasantly cloying - I really don't get it - no IPA beer / hop taste either. Truly a pointless spirit which barely merits the name 'whisky'. Unusually it is pretty much the same with or without water. Makes you wonder how many of the 5* reviews below are written by paid up 'brand ambassadors'.
Nice bottle. Shame about the contents. And I HAVE tasted the whisky and these are genuine comments.
