The 7th release of 1961 Family Cask. A very old Glenfarclas, aged in cask 1325 (a sherry hogshead). This was bottled afted 50 years on the 25th May 2011. A release of 108 bottles.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Cocoa, toffee and chocolate. Coffee beans, leather, plumwine, hints of cedar wood.
Palate
Plum liqueur, chocolate, sherried peels, oak, hints of cocoa. Black pepper.
Finish
Medium length, spicy. Hints of toffee apples and pepper.
