Glenfarclas 1995 (bottled 2017) Cask Strength
Well-sherried single malt from the legendary Glenfarclas distillery in Speyside. This 1995 vintage expression was aged in Sherry hogshead until 2017, when it was bottled at cask strength and released for the German market. 2,400 bottles were produced.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Apricot, honey, citrus peels and sultanas. A touch of blackcurrant jam on toast, too.
Palate
Dark chocolate bitterness at the core, surrounded by orange liqueur, cassia bark and oodles of raisins.
Finish
A surprising buttery hint develops on the finish, but sherried sweetness keeps going on and on underneath.
