Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Polished oak and antique leather open things up, followed by medjool dates, toasted walnuts, and a whiff of cigar box. Layers of fig jam and burnt toffee emerge with time in the glass, underpinned by a subtle thread of old balsamic and spice cupboard warmth.
Palate
Lusciously rich with stewed plums, molasses, and cherry liqueur. The sherry influence is deep but elegant – think old PX with a dry edge. Clove, dark chocolate, and treacle tart develop alongside hints of orange oil and espresso crema.
Finish
Long, drying, and beautifully spiced. Cinnamon bark and cedar linger with black tea tannins and a final flourish of nutty, oxidised oloroso.
