Glenfarclas 1963 VIII

The delicious 8th release of 1968 Glenfarclas Family Cask. This was aged in a sherry hogshead (cask 179) and bottled in 2011. Really lovely, single cask, cask strength Speyside malt from George S Grant and team…

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose Stewed oranges and lemons seasoned with cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla.

Palate Caramalised grapefruit peel and rich roasted malt surging over the palate in triumph.

Finish A whisky of this age should not disappoint at this stage, and this is no exception. Long, complex and balanced.

Overall A big whisky with intensely rich citrus flavours. There is a subtlety present that may be surprising for such a robust malt.
