Glenfarclas 1964 Family Cask Release VII

Glenfarclas 1964 Rel VII Bottling Note

Release 7 of the astonishingly good 1964 vintage of Glenfarclas Family Cask. This was aged in sherry butt number 4719, and it was bottled in 2011. Staggering stuff.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Nose of old fashioned cola, Dandelion and Burdock, toffee apples, red wine, cigar leaves and pepper.

Palate: Rich and thick palate with big, burnt malt, dates, caramel, cigar smoke, cola, old wine and Oloroso.

Finish: Long and spiced, some coffee, treacle and hints of soft smoke.
