A delicious, richly sherried Glenfarclas aged for 17 years and launched for the travel retail market. Loads of character and depth, just what we've come to expect from the distillery.
This bottle was part of a private collection - if you'd like more detailed photos just get in touch!
Complex and sophisticated, notes of buttery toffee, malt sherried peels, dates and even a hint of peat!
Full-bodied and rich, it fills and coats the palate with warming nutmeg, sherried fruits, cinnamon and mixed peels.
Long, spicy and sweet with just a hint of smoke on the tail.

Would be rated higher except 2 of three persons reviewing forgot to give it a star rating even though their reviews were positive. I have been drinking a lot of peat monsters lately and have ignored non heavily peated whisky for much too long. It would be a huge mistake too assume the best whisky's must be very smokey. This whisky is a perfect example of a fantastic flavoured whisky that is not a peat monster. Will defiantly buy more of this wonderful 17 year old
I love that one and in my house it often replaces a sherry or port after a goof meal. Got the bottle in Germany for around 50 Euros which seems to be the regular price. Although it is worth it I think twice in the US.
loved it. hint of peat and my new favorite
Nose: Mellow sherry maturation. It sneaks up on you. Dried fruits, a little bit of spice from the oak and sweet honey. Malt. Taste: Mellow, dried fruits, grape and honey, with a touch of raisins. Sweet and long finish with a bit of spice and tobacco.
