A delicious, richly sherried Glenfarclas aged for 17 years and launched for the travel retail market. Loads of character and depth, just what we've come to expect from the distillery.

Complex and sophisticated, notes of buttery toffee, malt sherried peels, dates and even a hint of peat!
Full-bodied and rich, it fills and coats the palate with warming nutmeg, sherried fruits, cinnamon and mixed peels.
Long, spicy and sweet with just a hint of smoke on the tail.

A bit pricey for what you get. I think if it were 46% it would benefit. As it is, it's a nice lightly flavored dram. Definitely got the buttery toffee on the nose, but not a lot more IMO.
Picked this up-- tried many scotches. This is sublime. Great balance, for me the sherry is wonderfully detectable but not overwhelming. This is definitely going to be a stable in my home. Spicy indeed. Very satisfied.
I could smell pears and vanilla and toffee. The nose is very smooth. For me it's too spicy. It kind of overplayed all others flavours.
Glenfarclas is a fantastic distillery which makes unique and flavorful whisky! I can't find the 15 year old ANYWHERE but this one was gathering dust at a local liquor store with a price tag of $89. Tastes a decent amount different than the 12 year. It's bolder and spicier with that slight hint of smoke some people have mentioned. It doesn't taste like butterscotch/vanilla pudding like the 12 year, it's a whole different experience. It has that trademark Glenfarclas oily, mouth coating feeling with a super long and satisfying finish. If you can find it at a good price, pick it up. If not... the 12 year old will be just fine and is at a great price point!
Even the label has a classic old school look and feel to it, admittedly I have not explored the entire world of scotch out there but when I got my first bottle of this, I loved the mouth feel and the flavours and smells that were appearing and revealing themselves.. rounded, buttery, oily, with great balanced flavours, not too sweet.
