The 7th batch of single malt Scotch whisky in GlenDronach's impressive Grandeur series is a 25 year old expression drawn from Oloroso Sherry casks selected by Master Distiller Billy Walker. Batch 7 is a release of 1,180 bottles, presented at 50.6% ABV.
Very well Sherried indeed - you're treated to rich fig jam, plump Sherry soaked raisins and freshly ground cinnamon. A touch of chocolatey fudge pops up too.
Chocolate-chip panettone, freshly brewed coffee, intense raisin and sultana. Spices grow and grow as it develops.
Flamed orange peel begins to appear on the finish. Still quite chocolatey.
