The Glendronach 21 Year Old
Joining Glendronach’s freshly rebranded ultra-premium line-up, the 21 Year Old returns with updated packaging while preserving its cherished sherry-cask spirit. Bottled at 48% ABV with natural colour and non-chill filtered, this 2025 UK launch is the first in the revitalised 21, 30, and 40-year-old trio. There are promises for older expressions to follow.
Crafted by master blender Dr. Rachel Barrie, the whisky has matured for two decades exclusively in oloroso and Pedro Ximénez sherry hogsheads sourced from Andalucía, Spain.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Ripe autumn orchard fruit—blackberries, red plums lifted by candied orange zest, hinting at bittersweet marmalade and a whisper of spice.
Palate
Bitter chocolate sauce, Christmas cake spices underpinned by polished oak and gentle dried fruit sweetness.
Finish
Dark fruit, roasted spice, and that signature sherry sweetness.
