Unfortunately, we can't ship The GlenDronach 15 Year Old Revival (Old Bottling) to the United States at the moment, but we've got some friends who can.
This 15 year old Glendronach marks the release of whisky under new distillery ownership. Matured in Oloroso sherry casks, this was awarded a Silver Medal at the 2009 Malt Maniacs Awards.
This expression was discontinued in 2015, with the GlenDronach distillers citing lack of maturing stocks as the reason. These bottles have become highly sought after following this.

My favorite whisky, and still have 4 bottles remaining but keeping them for special occasions.

I tasted a bottle of the Glendronach Revival (2013 bottling date, opened at least 3 years) today side by side with a new bottle of Revival (2018 bottling date, just opened), and there is really no comparison. The 2013 is complex, full, butterscotch, and I rate it 97 points / five stars. The 2018 tastes of molasses, not as complex or full, and I rate it 92 / four stars. According to the label, the 2013 was aged in Oloroso sherry casks, and the 2018 in a mix of Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez sherry casks (PX is a much sweeter sherry, and it shows).

Let it settle in the glass for 20mins at least. It's worth the wait 😏

One of the first decent single malts that I ever purchased and the whiskey that started it for me. Rich sweet sherry overtones with a hint of smoke. Wish it was still available (at a sensible price). I'd buy another in a heartbeat.

Switched to Glendronach 15 from Macallan 12 sherry oak (drank it fir years) and did not regret at all. Macallan bit more smoke and Glendronach more fruit and after taste lasts endlessly
