The GlenDronach 10 Year Old Port Wood 70cl Whisky

“I don’t see an age statement on my bottle, but I’d believe 10 years. It’s darker than the 12 year bottle, but I assume that’s due to the port cask finishing (since Glendronach is one of the very few Scotch brands that doesn’t add caramel color, which is deceptive any way you try to spin it). As expected, it’s fruitier than the original, and “spicier” but not in a burning sort of way. If I had to name one complaint, it’d be the price. I’m not sure why it’s nearly twice the price of the original 12 year sherry cask aged, but it’s not twice as good. I wouldn’t buy it again at $98, but I would buy it at $70.”
