The first time that a 1968 GlenDronach has made up part of these releases (the oldest vintage held by the distillery, possibly the oldest in existence). Matured in a single Pedro Ximénez Sherry hogshead from 24th September 1968, with an outturn of 301 bottles in January 2016.
Nose: Intense, full bodied aromas of dark treacle, sour plums and rich prune syrup combine with fragrant herbal notes and faint cigar smoke. Palate: An impactful sherried character laden with dark prunes and molasses. A torrent of vibrant orange bitters and dark espresso holds intriguing hints of eucalyptus and pine needles.
