This is the oldest release in the fourteenth batch of single cask bottlings from GlenDronach - a 30 year old single malt which was matured in a single Pedro Ximénez Sherry puncheon. It was distilled in December 1985 and bottled in September 2016 with an outturn of 507 bottles.
Full-on Christmas cake notes, with a hearty helping of nutmeg and coffee bean.
Dark chocolate, cigar box and cracked black pepper. Give it a few minutes and more of the dried fruit sweetness starts to come through.
Tobacco and oak spices last on the very long finish.

The best GD I’ve tried so far, and I have tried most of it..
