20 year old single malt Scotch whisky from the GlenDronach distillery, matured in a Pedro Ximénez Sherry cask from November 1994 to November 2014. It was selected and bottled exclusively for the UK - a glorious treat from the Highlands distillery to the well-Sherried whisky fans of the UK. A release of 660 bottles.
Very rich whisky, lovely nose, faint sweetness. Taste, even better. Notes of coffee, chocolate - almost overpowering sweetness on first taste, but then slips down the back of the throat with a little burn - releasing that pleasant coffee, chocolate and toffee - sherry too shines through with this one - incredibly pleasant nip - had a dram at The Grill Bar in Aberdeen the other week. £9.75 a dram - an absolute steal for what you get. Remarkable Nip.
