Glenburgie 10 Year Old - Derestricted
Right, picture the scene. You're enjoying a wonderful Glenburgie whisky, and a thought pops into your head. "Oh, wait a minute, I have no idea how many stills Glenburgie has. I wonder if I can guess from having a taste of this whisky... Hmm... Maybe five?" So, in that situation, you would have been wrong. Which is fair enough. Not sure anyone could guess how many stills a distillery has from tasting its whisky. However, if you pick up this bottling of 10-year-old Glenburgie from the Derestricted range, you'd have that information to hand, along with a medley of other marvellous distillery facts, all right there on the label!
Oh, also, Glenburgie has four stills. Five was a pretty close guess.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Spring blossom and grassy meadows, a whole mess of strawberry laces, vanilla essence, digestive biscuits, salted popcorn.
Palate
Still packed with vanilla and grassy barley, now joined by butterscotch, honeydew melon, and a touch of spicy liquorice.
Finish
Lingering sweetness of panna cotta and eucalyptus.
