Glenallachie D.E.

The Glenallachie Distillery Edition gives some of the spotlight on its label to the Ben Rinnes mountain. Sitting at the foot of the mountain, Glenallachie uses water that comes from a spring 3,000ft up Ben Rinnes' north-east face.

A cracker
An excellent dram, smooth and a very good introduction to malt whisky for anyone trying a malt for the first time.

Excellent! Among the best.
I purchased some 13-yr-old Glenallachie and it is unbelievable. I have had some extremely rare malts and this can hold its head up with the best.

Unknown pleasure
Was presented as a present and was unknown to me but what a pleasant, easy to drink smooth malt. Will be on my gift list for others to sample.

A good discovery
Got a bottle of Glenallachie Distillery Edition from my workmate (his grandfather used to work at the distillery). Very easy to drink, smooth and great notes of fruits. Definitely worth it.

Very pleasant with a challenge on the side
Our local Co-op had this reduced at £15! And I hadn't had it before - double whammy! Very enjoyable, easy drinking yet with something to work on - a challenge. Some excellent flavours going on. Better notes maybe when I can concentrate and have had a bit more.

Very Easy to Drink.
Really enjoyed it! I didn't expect to though, always feel doubtful of no year, single malts.
Very easy drinking, quite mellow but not dull.
Caramel and vanilla as mentioned by others, plus a fruit after taste. toffee apple and marshmallow.

A happy choice
I just bought this today from Morrisons for £18, I am more than a little surprised! This is a lovely dram, smooth and hot, easy to drink. I treat myself to a malt every month on payday, I'm not permitted to buy it any other time, the boss(my wee wifie) says so.
I've been trying other malts, except Glennfiddich, which was what I always bought, for months now and have been disappointed, it's a long month if you make the wrong choice.. I've happily made the right choice today.
It's as smooth as the afore mentioned, Glenfiidich, but hotter.
