It's the second of three releases in GlenAllachie's Billy Walker 50th Anniversary Series, marking its head distiller's 50 years in the whisky trade! Matured in sherry casks, before finishing in rare Japanese Mizunara oak casks, this one is brimming with intense roasted nuts and dark chocolate. Bottled up without colour or chill-filtration, its a tremendous demonstration of Billy Walker's brilliance when it comes to cask management. A release of 2,600 bottles.

Heaps of toasted nuts with candied almonds and caramelised pecans. A touch of wood polish leads the way for zingy orange peels, floral malt, and a hint of stem ginger.
Plenty of baking spice, with warming cinnamon balanced by dark chocolate, studded with dried fruit. The nuttiness proceeds with maple syrup and treacly pecan tart.
Warm toffee, silky honey, and hearty spices tangle, with roasted barley and rich nutty oak lingering.
