In April 2007 the Proclaimers were back in the charts, and this fabulous 15 year old Speyside single malt Scotch Whisky from Glenallachie was being distilled. A lot has happened since then, but this whisky slumbered through all of it in a 1st fill sherry butt (sounds nice, we're rather jealous) before finding its way into 607 limited edition bottles at 65.3% ABV, for Signatory's Cask Strength Collection.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose

Dark marmalade, dried dates, and lots of sherry character.

Palate

Spicy, sticky fruit cake, cacao nibs, with a pleasant oaky, vanilla backbone.

Finish

More dark dried fruits, and a hint of marmalade again.
