GlenAllachie 15yo #900166 Bottling Note

In April 2007 the Proclaimers were back in the charts, and this fabulous 15 year old Speyside single malt Scotch Whisky from Glenallachie was being distilled. A lot has happened since then, but this whisky slumbered through all of it in a 1st fill sherry butt (sounds nice, we're rather jealous) before finding its way into 607 limited edition bottles at 65.3% ABV, for Signatory's Cask Strength Collection.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Dark marmalade, dried dates, and lots of sherry character.

Palate: Spicy, sticky fruit cake, cacao nibs, with a pleasant oaky, vanilla backbone.

Finish: More dark dried fruits, and a hint of marmalade again.
