GlenAllachie 13 Year Old 2009 (cask 3712) - Sauternes Barrique
This expression in the seventh batch of GlenAllachie single casks was matured for 13 years between 2009 and 2022, spending its time in a sauternes barrique. Layers of orchard fruit notes from the dessert wine lend themselves to this single malt Speysider. Only 312 bottles have been produced, non-chill filtered and with natural colour.
This bottle was part of a private collection and will show signs of wear if of a certain vintage - if you'd like more detailed photos just get in touch!
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Poached apple, toast with butter and honey, and panforte.
Palate
Plenty of fruit, with green grapes, mango, and nectarine, along with gingerbread, and a touch of vanilla.
Finish
Dried apricot and baking spices.
