GlenAllachie 13 Year Old 2008 (cask 6896) - Chinquapin Barrel
The GlenAllachie Distillery has a penchant for marvellous single cask bottlings drawn from interesting casks, and this one fits that bill wonderfully! It's a 13 year old expression, distilled in 2008 and matured in a Missouri Chinquapin virgin oak barrel. In 2021, it was bottled up at cask strength, producing only 252 bottles. Intriguing stuff from this incredible distillery in Speyside.

Nose
Waves of heather honey, butterscotch, and orange peel, with figs, ginger, and nutmeg.
Palate
Layers of soft spices, heather honey, and orchard fruits, followed by cinnamon, ginger, and pineapple.
