A quietly brilliant Speysider given a proper airing by Cadenhead’s. Distilled in 2001 and matured for 17 years in a bourbon hogshead, this Glen Spey was bottled at a sturdy 53.3% ABV.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Custard creams, candy floss, peanut butter, a savoury flicker of pork crackling.
Palate
Coconut flakes, dried banana chips, pickled ginger, watercress, milk chocolate and yoghurt-covered raisins.
Finish
Long, creamy and gently savoury with wasabi heat and green tea dryness.
