This is a Càrn Mòr bottling of 15 year old Glen Spey single malt, drawn from a pair of casks laid down in 2000 and bottled in 2016. 540 bottles were released as part of the Strictly Limited range.
Tropical fruit with a sprinkle of black pepper. Quite grassy.
Honey-dipped shortbread, more black pepper spice and a hint of prune.
Apples and oranges.
Tried this at a tasting with Peter Mackay of Morrison & Mackay, I got a citrus / lemon taste, unusual but nice, I enjoyed it so much I bought three bottles, one for me, one to keep, and for my imaginary friend.
