10 year old single malt from the Glen Spey Distillery, independently bottled by the awesome A.D. Rattray for its Cask Collection. For a decade this one aged in a single bourbon hogshead, from August 2009 to September 2019, when it was then bottled up at cask strength. 304 bottles were produced.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Oily walnut and barley, with a sweet hint of fudge for balance.
Palate
Still packed with nutty malt notes, joined by apple boiled sweeties and a good kick of peppery spice.
Finish
Charred oak warmth and a touch of passion fruit.
