We're always glad to see a glorious single malt from Glen Scotia come through our doors, but we're positively beaming with pride at this one – an exclusive cask whisky, bottled up for us at Master of Malt. Look! It even has our name on it! Distilled in 2014, this whisky spent eight years maturing including a finish in a first-fill Pedro Ximénez cask, yielding an outturn of 300 bottles in 2022.
Layers of sticky dates and figs, fragrant spices, and fresh orchard fruits.
Charred brown sugar opens the way for cooked, spiced apples, flaky pastry, and sweet liquorice while dustings of nutmeg and crystalised ginger develop.
Juicy fig returns on the finish, with drizzles of dark honey and treacly molasses, backed up by sweet stewed fruits and mixed spices.
