Glen Moray 21yo Portwood

Part of Glen Moray's core range comes this tasty 21 Year Old Portwood expression. The single malt spent much of its maturation in bourbon casks, before it was transferred to Port casks for a finishing period. The fruity Speysider was bottled at 46.3% ABV without chill-filtration.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose Blueberry muffins, candied ginger, caramel digestives and vanilla shortbread.

Palate Liquorice and dark chocolate, with jammy forest fruit and a mixture of chilli and ginger heat.

Finish Chocolate covered raisins and a drizzle of toffee.

Beautiful, just beautiful.
Being a fan of Glen Moray, I wanted something a bit special to drink with fellow whisky lovers at my daughters wedding and decided to go for this. What a great choice I made because this turned out to be every bit as good as I thought it would be, absolutely spot on with this. Just the right amount of port wood influence without smothering the beautiful Glen Moray spirit. If you are thinking of buying this, just do it , better than any other port finish whisky I have had before.Big thank you to Glen Moray for complimenting my daughters special day.
