Glen Grant 22 Year Old 1992 (cask 130800) - Celebration Of The Cask (Càrn Mòr) Reviews

What can say other than absolutely beautiful. I will admit that I chose this whisky over comparable alternatives because it was distilled on my birthday back when I was a teenager (I mean how neat is that, seriously) and I couldn't have made a better choice. One review I had read on another site said they were slightly disappointed and felt they should have added a touch of water to open up the flavors, so I opted to not make the same error. With the addition of a little water this whisky literally came to life! Smooth and sweet, just as I expected it to be. Wonderful flavors of honey and toffee with what I could only think of as summer hay (take what you will from that but just know that it is meant in a positive way). This is a very strong dram so I was caught a little off guard, but again, in a good way. Wonderful finish with a sweet lingering after taste. Very enjoyable. Price doesn't always equal quality and quality doesn't always equal price as any whisky drinker knows. In my opinion, this is one perfectly priced bottle and I will probably purchase a few more just to have reserves.
