Decadent Drams is a new brand from bottlers and good people Decadent Drinks, created to be a hub for all the tasty whisky, Cognac, rum, Armagnac, Calvados and more that it can get its hands on. Expect small batches, single casks, curiosities, grain whiskies, multi-vintages, blends, and whisky from all corners of the earth. To kick this series off, the brand has started as it means to go on by selecting this rather lovely single cask of 21-year-old Glen Garioch Highland single malt. It was aged in a first-fill hogshead cask since 2003 and bottled at a natural cask strength of 55.1% ABV.
It’s a luscious, tropically fruity and waxy example that seems to muddled together old school and modern profiles simultaneously. Like a liquid manifestation of cognitive dissonance!
