An indie bottling of single grain from the Girvan distillery in South Ayrshire, aged for 27 years in a single refill hogshead cask. It was distilled in December 1989 and set aside to age until November 2017, when Douglas Laing came along to bottle it up for their Old Particular range, with only 148 bottles produced.
Sponge cake, spearmint, stroopwafel and coffee.
Thick and unctuous, with notes of honey, oak and dark chocolate.
Cinnamon, caramel and a drop of apple juice.
