Stunning stuff from the Spirit of Yorkshire Distillery, this expression of its Filey Bay single malt was first matured in first-fill bourbon casks, before being transferred to finish off in virgin oak casks from Kentucky. Distilled in a combination of pot and column stills, it boasts an elegant, silky texture with bright notes of banana and creamy vanilla – most impressive!

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose Buttered scones with jam and cream, a touch of grassy barley, pouring caramel.

Palate Soft, creamy malt with smooth vanilla, buttery oak, and notes of ripe banana. Delicate oaken spice develops, with toasty sawdust and grilled pineapple.

Finish Things wrap up with yet more soft, creamy vanilla with hints of crumbly fudge, toffee popcorn, and fruit salad.
