A special expression from Fettercairn, this single malt was matured for a generous 23 years in ex-bourbon and Cognac casks before being bottled up at 48.5%. Part of Fettercairn's range of increasingly intriguing age statement bottlings, expect plenty of fruit-forward character from this Highlander.

Nose
Fresh red apples and poached pears, with lightly toasted hazelnuts.
Palate
Creamy toffee, with plenty of warm spice and gentle heat, fruit compote, and grilled peaches.
Finish
Dried apricots and baking spices linger.
