Fettercairn 21 Year Old 1996 (cask 4333) - Fadandel
From the Fettercairn Distillery comes this fabulous single malt, distilled in 1996 and matured for 21 years in a single hogshead cask. In 2018, the cask was opened up by indie bottler Fadandel, releasing a total outturn of 218 bottles of this hearty Highlander, at a bold 63.5% ABV.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Crisp, fresh orchard fruits with green apples, stone fruits, and delicate zest, followed by ginger biscuits and a touch of liquorice.
Palate
Juicy sultanas and prunes bring plenty of fruity character, with salted nuts and rich, oily oak leading to earthy coffee beneath.
Finish
Honey sweetness, cakey spice with drying oak, and earthen herbs in the distance.
