Fettercairn’s tropical-leaning spirit gets a crisp, focused outing here from a single barrel filled in 2012 and bottled in 2024. Non-chill-filtered and natural in colour, this Highlander keeps things fresh and lively, letting the distillery’s distinctive fruit character shine without distraction.
Tasting Note by The Producer
Nose
Bright and inviting with bursts of tropical fruits, think ripe mango, pineapple, and a hint of papaya - layered with soft vanilla and a drizzle of golden syrup. Undertones of sweet malt and light toffee emerge as it opens, alongside a delicate waft of fresh oak.
Palate
Lusciously smooth and vibrant, delivering a rich medley of tropical fruit flavours balanced by creamy vanilla and soft caramelised toffee. The sweet malt character shines through mid-palate, gently wrapped in warming oak spices and a whisper of cinnamon.
Finish
Refined and well-balanced with lingering notes of fruit and spice. Sweet oak and malty richness taper into a gentle warmth, leaving behind a touch of soft pepper and vanilla that fades gracefully.
